Sally and I are spending a lot of time digging!  We have made paths with some chippings I purloined a couple of weeks ago - appologies to the guy on the next plot who had them for a couple of days til we could move (we didn't know anyone was on that plot then!)

Got a shed coming tomorrow - needs slabs for the base if anyone knows of any spare.  The shed has come 2 weeks earlier than they promised so had no time to organise slabs! They would have a pretty new home!! Have a…

Margaret and Jenny would like to thank everybody for being so welcoming, and for advice and offers! In particular gifts of blackberries, raspberries and strawberries. Hope to have things to offer in return before too long!

Ned and I spent a couple of hours at the allotments this morning, enjoying the sunshine whilst we battled aaginst the ever multiplying weeds. John H said that I had to remember that each weed is trying to take over the world. It certainly helped to see myself as some sort of super-hero saving the planet (or my plot at any rate) from total take over by groundsel and bind weed.

Also managed to put in some sweet peas and lettuce and a plant I haven't tried before 'red orache'. Saw some… Continue
